The way
to Safranbolu

  1. 01

    By car

    About 2.5–3 hours from Ankara and 3.5–4.5 hours from Istanbul. Leave the Ankara–Istanbul motorway at the Gerede junction; Safranbolu is 82 km from there. The konak's car park is free for guests.

  2. 02

    By bus

    There are direct buses from Istanbul and Ankara. They arrive at Safranbolu bus station (Kıranköy) or at Karabük; from Karabük there are minibuses and taxis to Safranbolu. The bus station is about 1.5 km from the Çarşı.

  3. 03

    By train

    Safranbolu has no railway station; the nearest is Karabük, 8–10 km away, where you'll find taxis.

  4. 04

    By air

    The nearest airports are Zonguldak Çaycuma (about 95 km) and Kastamonu (about 90 km); Ankara Esenboğa is about 240 km away.
